About Us
Project Independence is a comprehensive support initiative designed to empower individuals and families in Fremont County as they work toward long-term economic self-sufficiency. At its core, the program offers sustained, personalized case management—meaning participants are paired with a dedicated case manager who works alongside them to identify barriers, set achievable goals, and create a realistic path forward.
Rather than offering one-time assistance, Project Independence emphasizes consistent engagement. Participants meet regularly with their case manager to assess progress, adjust strategies, and stay motivated. These sessions may cover a wide range of needs, including employment readiness, budgeting skills, housing stability, access to healthcare, and educational opportunities.
In addition to one-on-one guidance, the program connects participants to a network of community resources—such as job training programs, childcare support, transportation services, and mental health counseling. This holistic approach ensures that individuals aren’t navigating challenges alone but are supported by a web of services tailored to their unique circumstances.
Ultimately, Project Independence is more than a service—it’s a partnership. It reflects a commitment to helping people build the skills, confidence, and connections needed to thrive economically and personally.
